Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last Updated: 14 January 2026

At Chromakey.co.uk, we understand that in professional production, time is your most valuable asset. We have engineered our logistics process to ensure that our technical fabrics arrive at your studio or set in pristine condition, ready for immediate use.

1. Our “Ready-to-Shoot” Shipping Standard

Unlike generic retailers, we have a strict No-Fold Policy for all our professional fabric rolls and Digifoam.

  • Industrial Cores: All fabrics are rolled under tension onto heavy-duty cardboard cores.

  • Protective Layering: Each roll is double-wrapped in moisture-resistant industrial poly-sleeves and encased in a rigid outer shipping tube or box to prevent edge damage and crushing.

  • The Result: Your fabric arrives without creases, wrinkles, or memory-folds, eliminating the need for on-set steaming or ironing.

2. Delivery Options & Timeframes

We offer several tiers of delivery to suit production schedules across the UK:

Service LevelEstimated DeliveryBest For
Standard Delivery3–5 Working DaysGeneral studio builds and stock replenishment.
Express Studio Delivery1–2 Working DaysUrgent production needs and tight VFX deadlines.
Dedicated CourierSame Day / ScheduledHigh-value, large-volume orders to major UK studios.

Orders placed before 12:00 PM (GMT) on business days are typically processed for dispatch the same day.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping is calculated based on the volumetric weight and length of the rolls. Because our products are shipped on long industrial cores (often exceeding 2m or 3m in length), they are classified as “Oversized” by standard couriers.

  • Calculated at Checkout: Shipping costs will be displayed clearly during the checkout process or provided in your bespoke B2B quotation.

  • Bulk Orders: For orders exceeding 10 rolls, we utilise dedicated pallet freight to ensure safety and cost-efficiency.

4. Studio & Location Deliveries

We regularly deliver to major UK production hubs, including Pinewood, Shepperton, Leavesden, and Titanic Studios.

  • Site Access: Please ensure that the delivery address has adequate access for long-wheelbase delivery vehicles.

  • Security Clearances: For deliveries to active film sets or restricted studio lots, please provide any necessary gate passes or contact details for the on-site locations manager.

5. Tracking & Receipt
  • Tracking: Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor your delivery in real-time.

  • Signature Required: All deliveries must be signed for by a member of your team.

  • Inspection Upon Arrival: Due to the technical nature of our products, you must inspect the outer packaging for signs of damage before signing. If the packaging is visibly compromised, please sign as “Damaged” and contact us immediately.

6. International Shipping (EU & Worldwide)

We can facilitate international shipping for global productions.

  • Customs & Duties: For orders outside of the UK, the recipient is responsible for any import duties, taxes, and clearance fees.

  • Quotes: Please contact our B2B team at sales@chromakey.co.uk for a specialised international freight quote.

7. Shortages and Damaged Goods

In the rare event that your shipment arrives incomplete or the fabric has been damaged during transit, you must notify us within 24 hours of receipt. Please retain all packaging materials, as these will be required for any courier claims.
